Volume 1 Issue 1 Letters Column
There are no letters from readers yet since this is the first issue. Instead this is a letter from PULP editor Annette Roman. She welcomes letters and fan manga art. She also announces a contest to name this column. If your entry gets chosen, you will win a 1 year subscription. There is also a giveaway for the first four letter writers. They will receive free strain phone cards. There was a third giveaway attached to a reader poll that was tipped into the front cover of this magazine. This poll is on the back of a subscription card
Volume 2 Issue 1 Letters Column
They are still waiting for the first mail to come in to the offices so again no letters posted here. They are also still looking for a good title for this column. Editor Annette Roman writes about walking around San Francisco and seeing the cover image for the premiere at a newstand prior to its initial release. It was because of a story in a local paper talking about the future Pulp magazine.
Volume 2 Issue 2 Letters Column
We finally have letters. They received 4 letters all on the same day. All four of the writers won strain phone cards. They are still receiving and reviewing entries for the new name of the letters column. They also handed out an Ogre Slayer graphic novel to someone who sent in a reader poll. There are 3 letters printed in this issue. They all congratulate VIZ for putting out a great product. Two of the letter writers were unimpressed with black and white but the editors reassure them that the story picks up over time and just needs time to build. Heartbroken Angels is getting mixed reviews with one saying they don’t like toilet humor while the two others say they found it funny. The other series are got positive reviews from all the writers.
